Project Description

On 26th July 2025, a plantation program was conducted under the Rotary National Tree Plantation Day initiative along the Motipur–Bethari Road divider, which connects to the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha in Lumbini. A total of 300 trees were planted, including 80 Gulmohar (Royal Poinciana), 150 Moringa (Daal Chini), and 70 Mango plants. The plantation covered approximately 5.00 km across 3 wards with the objective of creating greenery along the road divider corridor. The program was carried out in coordination with neighbouring Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs, Interact Clubs, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, and Ward Nos. 11, 17, and 18. Altogether, around 1000 trees were planted collectively by all participating clubs during the campaign.
