Project Description

Club Celebrated Teej festival with the Children of Nepal Apanga Ashram. Butwal Devinagar.

On August 30, 2025, the Rotary Club of Butwal Downtown celebrated the Teej festival with the children of Nepal Apanga Ashram at the Nepal Orphaned Home in Devinagar, Butwal Rupandehi. This community service project, known as the Teej Festival Celebration, aimed to promote ethical values and support vulnerable children and adults, in alignment with Rotary's principles of humanitarian aid. The event's primary objectives were to celebrate the Teej festival with underprivileged children, providing them with food and care, while also strengthening the spirit of community service and solidarity.
During the celebration, nutritious food supplies were handed over to the orphanage residents, ensuring that the children received much-needed nourishment. The event included interactions with the children, where joyful moments were shared, fostering encouragement and connection. As a result, the initiative raised awareness about Rotary's ethical values and enhanced its image within the orphanage community. The celebration not only provided essential food aid to support the children's daily needs but also enriched their festive spirit during the Teej festival, promoting inclusiveness and care. The program was coordinated by Perma KC, with Rtn Rajendra Dhakal, Chair of Rotary's government relations for Rotary District 3292, serving as the chief guest.

The RC Butwal Downtown club has provided financial support to Lila Pandey, a blood cancer victim, by donating Rs 25,000 for her treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. This support was provide by the club members present during the club's second assembly and its 1037th regular meeting held on 1st August 2025.
